1. What are the payment options?

We accept payment in AUD by:

  • credit card via Paypal, which is secure and the fastest
  • direct deposit (eft)
  • cheque or money order payable to Queen Street Quilts and sent to

  • When paying by cheque or money order, just email us your order and we will send you an invoice. Then mail us your cheque or money order and we will action your order as soon as the payment has been cleared.

2. What are the shipping costs?

Shipping is free to any address in Australia. For delivery to countries outside of Australia, email us at sales@queenstreet.net.au for the shipping costs

Yes, we ship worldwide.

4. What are the delivery options?

We currently use Australia Post. For some orders over 5 kgs we use a courier service. If a courier service has been used we will email you details. Remember that Australia Post and couriers work throughout the day so your order may arrive at any time between 9am and 5.00pm.

5. What is the situation regarding duty and VAT/GST for non Australian orders?

For orders shipped outside Australia

  • Any duty or GST/VAT that may be levied in the country of destination is the sole responsibility of the recipient
  • The declared value on the customs declaration will relate to the value of the goods (excluding shipping costs).

6. Will my order be delivered to my home address?

Yes. If you wish the order to be delivered to a different address, please email us details of the shipping address.

7. How long will I need to wait for my order?

How long will it take for my order to arrive? Australia Stock items – allow about a week Ordered items take approximately 8 weeks Custom made items take between 8-12 weeks Countries outside Australia Please email us for an estimate of shipping time from Australia to the destination address.
Note: For cheque payments, goods will be dispatched after funds have been cleared.

8. How will I know when my purchase has been dispatched?

You will be notified by email when your order is dispatched. We will try to keep you informed of any delays.

9. Help! I can’t add products to my cart.

Make sure you have javascript and cookies enabled in your browser. This will allow our shipping cart to remember what products you have added to your cart. Alternatively, you can email your order to sales@queenstreet.net.au.

10. What is your returns policy?

We hope you will be happy with any product purchased on our website but if you wish to return an item we aim to make it as quick and convenient as possible. You may return any unused goods in their original packaging within 14 days of the date of dispatch. Please note that it is your responsibility to take care of the products and ensure they are returned to us safely & in a saleable condition. We recommend you obtain Proof of Posting, or use Recorded Delivery, when returning goods, as we cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit.

We will refund the cost of the product to you upon receipt of the returned items.

Damage or discrepancy - Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery if your order is damaged or there are any discrepancies. You can contact us by email: sales@queenstreet.net.au
To return an item - Simply contact us by email and we will issue a returns code and inform you of the method for return of the goods. The return address is: PO Box 3720 Norwood SA 5067

Will the Shipping Charge be refunded?

If the return is required as a result of our error, we will happily refund return postage charges. In all other circumstances, the cost of return postage is non-refundable.

What happens after the items have been returned? - Once we have received and verified the returned item we will initiate the refund, replacement or exchange.

How is the refund paid? - The refund amount is paid by cheque drawn on the customer's name.

11. Is silk practical for a bedspread?

Silk is a very strong fabric. Being a natural material, silk offers year-round comfort. It is cool in summer and warm in winter.

12. How should I care for my bedspread?

We recommend dry cleaning unless otherwise stated on the attached care instructions.

13. What if the items are creased when they arrive?

To remove creases from silk, steam ironing is recommended. In my experience, it is easier to get rid of the creases from silk than it is from cotton.

14. How accurate are the colours on your website?

Reproduction of colour on a computer is not 100% accurate. While the colours in our photos are as true as possible, PC browsers and settings may affect colour reproduction.

15. Can I order additional items, at a later date, in a particular colour?

Only items made from a single bolt of fabric will be identical in colour. This is why we recommend that you purchase all items at the same time. There is always a slight variation in colour between rolls of fabric and therefore 100% colour matching cannot be guaranteed. However, because of the way light plays on the lustre of silk, differences are not usually noticeable.

16. Will my purchase be exactly the same as the image shown?

As each item is individually made, the design and style of the product may differ slightly from the photograph.

17. Why are there sometimes irregularities in the weave of silk products?

Irregularities, slubs and variations in weave are characteristic of natural silk and are a feature of its appearance.
